“Minglement” at the Roasterie “A Crossroads of Commerce and Neighbors” The Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie and the Minglement are located in a nearly 100-year old building constructed in 1914 from now-extinct old growth island fir. The wood floors and twelve-foot ceilings and nostalgic front porch provide a nice place to rest while taking in the flavor of the local surroundings. The building is also home to specialty coffee and fair trade pioneer Jim Stewart’s original coffee company, The Wet Whisker, which eventually became Seattle’s Best Coffee.
