"EXERCISING OUR BETTER SELF" EVENT

"Exercising Our Better Self" Event is to provide the community of cyclists and walkers, their families and friends, an opportunity to enjoy a day of organic food, fun, and safe touring on closed roads. It is an invitation to celebrate the diverse beauty of a unique rural environment.

Venue:

• Walkers, joggers & Bikers on 3 mile or 6 mile auto free course, participants choice  and do both courses

New venue - Treasure Hunt bicyclist will be challenged to a treasure hunt that involves visiting several Island Parks  in various locations on Vashon - Maury Island. Approx. 30 mile trek. 

 Receive all pieces of the puzzle and first one accomplishing the entire route will win a special award.                                     

 Cost: Price will be available soon.

Event Route:

 3-mile:

**Leaving Paradise Ridge park turn right  (West) onto 220th   Left  (South) onto Wax Orchard road SW ~ Left (West) onto SW 232nd St  ~ then left onto Old Mill RD _- Right onto SW 220TH and back to the park. Approx 2.75 miles

6 miles

From Paradise Ridge Park turn right (West) onto SW 220th. ~ Left (south) onto Wax Orchard Rd  ~ Left onto SW 248th St and stay to the left which becomes Old Mill RD SW.  Almost there... back to SW 220th where you turn right and return to Paradise Ridge park.

Treasure Hunt:

Treasure Hunt t bicyclist will be challenged to a treasure hunt that involves visiting various Parks  in various locations on Vashon - Maury Island. Receive all pieces of the puzzle and first one accomplishing the entire route will win a special award

 People living around the closed roads may go around the closed road signs to get out of the area or to go back home. Please be aware people will be walking, jogging and biking on the road.

• No animals allowed on Course Route    - safety factor -   Paradise Ridge park welcomes animals at the park
